Today, we’d like to formally announce what is happening with Sunpower closing down, the status of your warranties, and what August Roofing & Solar is doing to put you first.

In April 2024, Sunpower announced it would reduce its workforce and begin to wind down their operations. Additionally, they recently notified dealers (like August Roofing & Solar) they would stop new leases, installations, and shipments. As of August 6, 2024, Sunpower has announced they've filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy and will sell its assets to Complete Solaria, Inc.

As a trusted partner in your solar journey, August Roofing & Solar continues to put customer satisfaction first. We want to emphasize that this news does not change our commitment to you. We are working to continue providing you home solar panel systems with NO compromise on product quality and service. Despite the Sunpower bankruptcy news, this will not affect the quality of our solar and roofing products. The solar systems we offer will remain highly reliable and dependable.

Your Warranty: Great news! Nearly all your Sunpower warranties will still be honored despite the business transition. For more detailed information on the status of your warranties from Sunpower, click here. The components used to build your solar panel system will also continue to be covered under warranty. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates if any changes occur.

Energy Monitoring: Currently, your SunPower solar monitoring system and app will continue to function as normal. This way you can continue to track your energy production and system performance.
